- Size H/5.0mm crochet hook
- Polyester fiberfill
- Clear vinyl sheet (for helmet visor, optional)

Step-by-Step
The Space Helmet
- With white: Magic ring, 8 hdc. Increase 6 sts per round until circle covers the crown (approx 7-inch diameter for child).
- Work even in hdc until helmet reaches the jawline.
- Face opening: On next round, work 20 sts, ch 20, skip 20, continue around.
- Continue working even on remaining sts (the back and sides only) for 4 more rounds.
- Visor rim: Work sc around the face opening with gray to define the edge.
The Mission Patch (Make 2–3)
- With blue (or red): Magic ring, 10 sc. Increase by 6 sts per round to desired patch size (approx 3 inches).
- Embroider a star, rocket, or mission name using surface stitching with contrast yarn.
- Sew patches onto the chest and sleeves of the sweatsuit.
Jetpack Straps
- With gray: Ch 8. Sc in 2nd ch and across. (7 sts)
- Work in sc until each strap is 30 inches long. Make 2.
- Sew straps to a cardboard box covered in silver fabric for the jetpack, or wear them crossed over the chest as costume detail.
For the full look: pair with white boots, silver gloves, and an American flag patch.
